Mike Hontas, raised in Albuquerque from age 10, started his construction education as a teenager by helping remodel the turn-of-the-century family house located in the Huning Highlands neighborhood near downtown Albuquerque. This must have spurned a desire to work in the construction trades, which he has been doing ever since.
He has worked as a construction supervisor and/or manager since 1982.
